  27. If you lower the task priority of Lightwave.FP, and assuming you have
  28. enough memory left to do other things, you won't even know its back
  29. there.  The interactive performance of the system, assuming LW is
  30. running with a lower priority than anything else, will be just as snappy
  31. as if the system was unloaded.  I do this all the time.  AmigaDos is
  32. *really* good at that.  OTOH, if you don't lower the priority, you'll
  33. certainly know something else is going on :-).

  35. One useful tool for this is Job Manager, (available on aminet).  It
  36. gives you a lot of extra control over the allocation of cycles to
  37. multiple CPU bound processes, and an easy way to set default priorities
  38. for various tasks.

  45. Depends on what you mean by "actually work".  I've been running Layout
  46. on my Spectrum in 1024x768, and it works great except for the wireframe
  47. preview (which doesn't crash or anything, but just doesn't show up).
  48. You still have to run Modeler in an AGA mode though.
